Falling
Wide once again opens the doors of its London home, Toynbee Studios,
for the three-week Falling Wide Easter School 2008!
The Falling
Wide Easter School is an international celebration of the radical
influence of Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) on dance performance,
creation and education. It is a time for dancers, performers and
artists of any discipline to explore creative process and technical
growth in a suportive and inspiring environment with leading international
dance artists: pioneer of collaborative performance practice Gaby
Agis (London), seminal
figure in postmodern dance Eva Karczag
(The Netherlands) and widely celebrated London-based
dance artist Henry Montes,
along side British dance-artists Joe
Moran
(London) and Florence Peake
(London).
The three-week
Easter School consists of daily SRT morning classes followed by
week-long afternoon workshops in improvisation and performance practice
informed by Releasing.
Daily
SRT Morning Class
10.30am-12.30pm
Skinner Rleasing Technique is the pioneering and inclusive approach
to dancing evolved from the simple principle that when we are letting
go of habitual holding patterns we can move more freely, powerfully
and articulately.A considerable influence on leading artists across
the world, SRT can enhance any movement style while fostering individuals'
artistic sensibility and creative unfoldment.
Daily SRT morning
class at the Intrductory level will be taught by Gaby Agis, Joe
Moran and Florence Peake.

Afternoon
Workshops
2pm-6pm
In
the afternoons, Gaby Agis, Eva Karczag and Henry Montes each lead
a week-long afternoon intensive sharing their individual approaches
to improvisation and performance creation informed by Releasing.

The Easter School is a workshop for professionals, as well as all
those interested in exploring their creativity through moving.
Cost
Full course: £480 (independent)/£600 (funded)
SRT morning classes: £160/£200 for all three weeks
Afternoon workshops: £120/£160 per week
Places on the morning/afternoon-only courses are limited.

A non-refundable
deposit of £100 is required
when booking a place on the full course; the remainder of the fee
will be due by Monday 24th March. The full course payment is required
for the morning/afternoon-only courses. Early
booking is highly recommended as course places are limited
